W3 Internet Services gives a personalized approach to providing every client with a tailored solution, designed to meet their business needs. Here are just a few examples of projects of which we are especially proud. Our customers are as diverse and unique as our solutions - we can modify our approach to meet any challenge.

AllNovaScotia.com

The Client: AllNovaScotia.com is a dedicated, subscription-based, on-line business news service. It provides the back story and in-depth coverage of specialist business news.

The Challenge: Secure and convenient access for subscribers, security of content, and ease of subscriber administration are perpetual challenges for Allnovascotia.com. As a subscription-based publication, content should be available only to subscribers. Subscribers should not be able to undermine the subscription model by passing an issue around or by sharing content. Writers and editors need fine-grained control over placement of stories and their release for publication. Subscriptions are the main revenue stream; they must be managed in the most cost-effective manner.

Canadian Policy Research Networks

The Client: Canadian Policy Research Networks (CPRN) is a non-profit policy research organization whose mission is to create knowledge and lead public debate on social and economic issues important to the well being of Canadians.

The Challenge: CPRN needed to redesign their website. It had grown to over 1200 files and was getting difficult to manage. The frames-based structure limited the ability to push content directly to visitors and impacted the search engine's capability to index the site. With over 40,000 downloads of publications per month and over 4000 subscribers to its weekly electronic news service CPRN was in need of a site that could efficiently handle this volume.

CPRN.org The Solution: W3 Internet Services produced a website with a strong content management system that allowed staff to update content on an as-needed basis in a simple manner. The database driven system allows for the easy organization of CPRN's documents and allows site users to download files quickly. CPRN opted to take control over the entire site to meet their needs for a constantly changing environment. W3 provided the dynamic backend content management to allow for this separation of aesthetic and content control.

East Port Properties

The Client: East Port Properties helps clients throughout Atlantic Canada with their office, technology, research, commercial, warehouse, industrial, parking and Internet access needs.

The Challenge: The client wanted a website to showcase real-estate to potential customers. Requirements? Make it secure, easily managed and allow temporary access to this privileged information for customers.

Screen Shot Only The Solution: W3 Internet Services produced a website with a minimalist layout to display the client's property portfolios along with associated documents. Temporary customer accounts, with controlledexpiration dates, are easily created. Site content is managed through a simple administration back end. All pages are dynamically created from data entered in the back end.

The client now provides the full information needed by propspective purchasers in a controlled, attractive and easy-to-use manner. The cost, inconvenience and security risk of large printed sets of documents is avoided. East Port Properties is marketing its portfolios of properties effectively and efficiently.

Region of Queens Municipality

The Client: The Region of Queens Municipality is focused on providing information to its residents and to help advertise the regions up and comming events.

The Challenge: The client wanted an informative site that could both report to their residents and show what was happening in the municipality. This presence would also encourage a closer cooperation between the residents and council while providing advertising opportunities via a direct channel of communication to all site members.

RegionOfQueens.com The Solution: W3 Internet Services developed a website with an easy to navigate interface, that allowed residents to find what they need, when they need it. The dynamic website automatically displays up and coming events, while letting residents know important happenings in their community. Residents can easily find contact information needed to contact their municipality members, or contact the mayor directly via built in web forms.

Canadian Public Relations Society (Nova Scotia) Inc.

The Client: The Canadian Public Relations Society Inc. plans and implements activities such as professional development sessions, accreditation, student activities and the Atlantic Gemstones.

The Challenge: The client wanted to have an engaging web presence that would capitalize on the news, and events. The site would need an easy to manage content managment system.
